Saba offers a variety of hiking and nature trails over assorted terrain, from the shoreline to the top of Mount Scenery (Elfin Forest). Most trails can be hiked on your own; trail maps are available at the front desk along with walking sticks, and as a safety precaution, we have established a Sign-out board for hikers so we know which trails you're enjoying and where you would be may the unlikely occur. Visit the Trail Shop to schedule a guided hike or for more detailed information on a particular trail and to acquire a deeper understanding of the flora, fauna and Saban lore. |
SCUBA DIVING / SNORKELING"WE DIVE NOT TO ESCAPE LIFE, BUT FOR LIFE NOT TO ESCAPE US" - Anonymous
Saba's beauty extends below the waterline into an exciting marine environment rich in corals and active with fish life. Saba offers dive enthusiasts and beginners alike a variety of dive sites, from fascinating pinnacle dives that rise from the ocean floor to depths of 100 feet, or shallower dives where one can enjoy more bottom time. Saba's underwater world is home to a busy population of colorful tropical fish, large groupers, jacks, blue tangs, goatfish and parrotfish. Lava tunnels and hot springs remind divers of the dramatic volcanic beginnings of the island. Along the edge of Saba's sheer wall dives, divers can sight turtles and rays of all shapes and sizes. |
DINING"PEOPLE WHO LOVE TO EAT ARE ALWAYS THE BEST PEOPLE." -Julia Child
Minutes away from Juliana' Hotel, you'll find a host of restaurants that is sure to please your palate. There are a few other great restaurants in the neighboring villages that provide transportation to/from the hotel; we suggest you make sure to try them all while you're on the island. If you're undecided about where to go for dinner, or would like to make a reservation please stop by Juliana's Hotel Front Desk for suggestions and reservations. |
